Gold leaf is still made in Myanmar in the old fashioned way. Workers methodically pound down a 22k gold nugget using the sledge hammer and the energy from their arms and backs to create the final product. This is a video of gold leaf workers producing the finished gold leaf product at a small factory which is located in downtown Mandalay.
