Itineraries

Day 1

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh: (-/-/D)

You will be met at the airport in Ho Chi Minh City by your guide and you will travel to your hotel for check in. You will then have some free time to relax or explore some of the city. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at a renowned restaurant before completing your day with an overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 2

Ho Chi Minh Tour: (B/L/-)

You will begin your exploration of the major and bustling city of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), which is leading commercial center of Vietnam and the site of a growing number of upscale restaurants, shops and cafes. You will visit the Thien Hau Pagoda, China town, the Reunification Palace, the Opera House and the Ho Chi Minh City Hall (Hotel de Ville). You will also have the opportunity to visit the very impacting War Remnants Museum.

In Ho Chi Minh City, you will also explore the vibrant outdoor markets and Dong Khoi Street, which is the city's main shopping boulevard. Here you will find shops and merchants selling clothes and accessories created by new Vietnamese designers, high quality linens and house wares, and some hill tribe crafts from the countryside. You will enjoy another relaxing overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3

Cao Dai Temple & Cu Chi Tunnels: (B/L/-)

You will begin this day with a drive to Cao Dai Temples in Tay Ninh. Cao Dai Holy See Temple is a cathedral of the Cao Daism religion and home of the Divine Eye, the official symbol of this unique religion. The Cao Dai followers worship Jesus Christ, Confucius, Taoism, and Buddha. While ay Cao Dai, you will also be able to observe the midday service.

Following your lunch, you will travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which consist of more than 200 km of underground tunnels. This tunnel system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included a large number of trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. The remaining tunnels have today become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a very unique experience and understanding of what underground life was like during the U.S.-Vietnam War also known as the American War. Your overnight stay will be in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 4

Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho: (B/L/-)

This morning, you will depart Ho Chi Minh City by car and travel to lush My Tho the Mekong Delta. You will cruise on a private boat through the green vegetation of the canals to an orchard, where you will receive a delicious lunch in a local restaurant in the heart of the Mekong Delta, along with local tropical fruits. You will also have the opportunity to visit the snake farm Dong Tam. This farm breeds snakes for, among other things, snake wine, which is popular in the Mekong Delta. You will also visit the VinhTrang pagoda. Following your day in the Mekong Delta, you will then travel to the town of Can Tho, situated in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Your overnight stay will be in Can Tho.

Day 5

Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City: (B/L/-)

Your new day in Can Tho begins with boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market. This market is one of the most bustling floating markets in the Mekong Delta. Here you will find hundreds of small boats engaging each other and seeking suitable space in order for the vendors to sell their goods. After sampling some local fruit, your guide will escort you back to the hotel through a maze of canals. You will then have lunch at a local restaurant before you return to Ho Chi Minh City for your overnight stay.

Day 6

Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat: (B/L/D)

During this morning, you will depart Ho Chi Minh City en route to Da Lat, known as the "City of Eternal Spring" which is located in the Central Highlands of southern Vietnam. Upon your arrival in Da Lat, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. During the late afternoon, you may take a short walk through delightful and refreshing city, before enjoying dinner in that evening in one of the fine restaurants in town. Your overnight stay will be in Da Lat.

Day 7

Da Lat: (B/L/D)

Your tour today of Dalat and its surrounding areas will include visits to the Bao Dai Palace and your exploration of the unique architecture and design of the of a residence known as the "Crazy House." This house is a brightly painted concrete house which wraps itself around trees, mimicks their shapes, and it today serves as a guesthouse. You will also visit Truc Lam Monastery and its Pagoda. During the afternoon, you will have the option and opportunity to take a short train ride on the Cremaillere Railway to the village of Trai Mat. During the evening, you will enjoy the fine cuisine of a local restaurant in the city. Your overnight stay will be in Da Lat.

Day 8

Da Lat - Nha Trang(B/L/-)

You will travel through the Prenn Pass, to the "Chicken Village" (named after its prominent statue of a chicken), which area is inhabited by the Koho minority people. From this village, you will travel east and then down the Ngoan Muc Pass to the coastal lowlands and the city of NhaTrang, the country's premier resort city. Many years in the past, this portion of Vietnam was once inhabited by an ancient civilization known as the Cham. We will be visiting the Po Klong Garai Cham Tower. This amazing structure, which has endured the test of time and the elements as well as war, was originally built in the 13th century. You will then be stopping for a late lunch at Cam Ranh Bay prior to your arrival in Nha Trang. Following your check in at your hotel, you will have plenty of free time to explore and discover the night life of Nha Trang. Your overnight stay will be at your local hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 9 & 10

Nha Trang Free & Easy: (B/-/-)

For these next two days, your days and evenings will be free for you to relax and enjoy the resort which overlooks the beautiful Bay. You may snorkel or dive among the coral reefs which rest in crystal blue waters, hike nature trails, relax and refresh yourself in your private pool, have yourself pampered in spa treatments, or simply unwind and relax on the white sand beaches. The mountain and sea views are spectacular. You will stay overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 11

Nha Trang - Danang - Hoi An: (B/-/-)

The start of your day will be free at your leisure until your transfer to the airport for a short flight to Da Nang.

Upon your arrival at Da Nang International airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Hoi An. You will have ample and unrestricted time to walk the narrow and winding streets of this ancient riverside town. Your overnight stay will be in Hoi An.

Day 12

Hoi An Ancient Town: (B/L/-)

After breakfast, you will visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200- year old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge. You might want to relax at a local pub, go shopping or also visit the many local tailors who can make quality clothes for you, often in less than one day. Your overnight stay will be in Hoi An.

Day 13

Hoi An - Danang - Hue: (B/-/D)

Today you will depart Hoi An for another World Heritage site, the city of Hue, and travel via the Hai Van pass. You will be stopping to visit the Marble Mountains and a local handicraft village before you arrive in Hue. In Hue, you will tour many famous sites including the Citadel, the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum and the Dong Ba market.
In the evening, you will dine at a local restaurant in Hue while enjoying the fine cuisine being provided. Your overnight stay will be in Hue.

Day 14

Hue: (B/L/-)

Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be boarding a private vessel and leisurely cruise upon the romantic Perfume River. As the former ancient capital of the country, Hue is surrounded by many tombs of past emperors. You will visit some of these tombs today. Your first stop will be the enchanting Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda). Your day will continue by cruising further to the ornate Minh Mang's Tomb. You will be enjoying lunch at a local restaurant before you continue to visit Tu Duc's Tomb and Khai Dinh's Tomb. Your overnight stay will be in Hue.

Day 15

Hue - Hanoi: (B/-/-)

Today you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi, the colonial capital city of Vietnam, which is famous for its tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes, classic pagodas and temples.

Your day will be free to explore this wonderful city on your own. Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.

Day 16

Hanoi City Tour - Lao Cai(B/L/-)

The capital city of Hanoi is a very unique Asian city adorned with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, and many lakes, temples and pagodas. Your full day tour of Hanoi will include many of Hanoi’s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his Stilt House, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Presidential Palace. You will depart in the evening on your adventure trip to Sapa by overnight train from Vietnam's capital city of Hanoi to the border town of Lao Cai.

Day 17

Lao Cai - Sapa: (B/L/-)

Your overnight train from Hanoi arrives at Lao Cai train station at approximately 6:00 a.m. where a vehicle will be waiting for you to transfer to Sapa. Travel distance to Sapa is only 33 km and travel time is estimated to be 1.5 hours from Lao Cai station to Sapa.

Upon your arrival in Sapa, you will arrive at your hotel with an early check-in requested if possible. Breakfast will be provided to you at the hotel restaurant and then you will be free to enjoy a morning to explore the town of Sapa. During the afternoon, you will engage in a walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, which is the home to the H'mong hill tribe minority people. While you are walking to the villages which are situated in the valley below Sapa, you will have the opportunity to meet some of the local minority people and share diverse cultural experiences together.

You will be spending the evening and overnight stay in Sapa.

Day 18

Sapa - Lao Cai - Train returning to Hanoi: (B/L/-)

After your morning breakfast, you will experience the Sapa Sunday market after which you will embark on a 3-4 hour journey, walking along water buffalo paths and trails and through the hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van, which is home to H'mong and Dzay people. This is a fabulous walk and journey through amazing scenery and in an area which is inhabited by some of the friendliest people you may ever meet. A picnic lunch will be provided to you on your way to Ta Van village. Later in the day, you will be transferred to Lao Cai station and embark on the night train which will return back to Hanoi.

Day 19

Hanoi - Halong Bay: (B/L/D)

You will arrive back in Hanoi from Lao Cai station around 5 a.m. at which time you will be met by our driver and taken to a local restaurant for breakfast and morning coffee. You will then leave Hanoi for beautiful Ha Long Bay. Arrival time at the jetty in Ha Long Bay is estimated at 12:30 p.m. Upon your arrival, you will depart on a junk cruise where you will be served lunch. Ha Long Bay is a majestic place to visit and explore. There are thousands of sculpted limestone islands which dramatically rise above the water. It is a breathtaking experience to witness and one which you will always remember. Following lunch, you will embark on a short hike to a nearby summit where you will witness a beautiful panoramic view of the bay, or have the option to take a swim on a quiet beach or enjoy sunbathing on the sundeck. You will stay on board overnight.

Day 20

Halong Bay - Hanoi: (B/-/-)

When you awake and then witness the calm bay waters of Ha Long Bay, you will have the opportunity to take an early morning swim, followed by breakfast on board your vessel. While sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while you witness the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands which dramatically rise up from the emerald waters of the bay.

Following your breakfast, you may explore Sung Sot Cave, swim and relax. You will then cruise back to the jetty and enjoy brunch on board your vessel, while you cruise through the bay and observe the many fascinating rock formations. Upon arrival at the dock, you will be met by your car and driver and return to Hanoi. Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.

Day 21

Hanoi Departure: (B/-/-)

There are no activities planned for today. You are free to use and enjoy your free time souvenir shopping until transfer to the airport for your outbound flight. This will conclude our services.
