Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) (-/-/-)
Early this morning and following breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to Kyaikthiyo, which is one of Myanmar’s landmarks and famous for its precarious position and religious importance. Kyaikthiyo, the “Golden Rock”, is a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. You will arrive at the base camp of Kinpun and then proceed to the “Golden Rock” by open truck, for a mountain drive of about one hour. You then take a relaxed hike on the summit and through the bamboo forest and enjoy a beautiful sunset on top of the summit. Your overnight stay will be in Kyaikhtiyo.

We will make a short visit to Bago and see the Bago Local Market, the Kanbawza Thardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung, Kalayani Sima (Ordination Hall), Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Shwethalyaung Pagoda, holding the world’s most beautiful reclining Buddha and observe some of the Wood Carving Industry.
