Itineraries

Day 1

Welcome to Vietnam | Arrive in Hanoi: (-/-/D)

You will be warmly greeted upon your arrival at Hanoi airport and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon following your check-in at your hotel, you will be taking a private walking city tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter to visit its local markets. The Old Quarter is known for its 36 streets and former craft trades. During the evening, you will be delighted watching a water puppet performance in a local theatre and later treated to a welcome dinner to Vietnam at a local restaurant. Your overnight stay is in Hanoi.

Day 2

Hanoi City Tour: (B/L/-)

Early this morning, you will have a cyclo tour and visit the morning ceremony flag raising at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Following the morning ceremony, you will then travel to the Bontanic Garden to observe Tai Chi of Hanoians before lining up to have breakfast as a local resident of the city. You will then return to your hotel for some relaxation.

During the afternoon, your guide will again greet you and take you on a tour of the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi. Hanoi is a very unique Asian city, decorated with tree-lined boulevards, evidencing its French colonial past with its architecture, and with its many lakes, temples and pagodas which makes Hanoi a unique and special city to visit. Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.

Day 3

Hanoi - Halong Bay - Hanoi: (B/L/-)

This morning, you will travel to Halong Bay City, which is approximately 3 hours away by car or shuttle from Hanoi. Upon your arrival at Halong Bay City, you will be welcomed on board for a spectacular four-hour cruise on this majestic bay. During your cruise, you will stop along the way to visit one of the many limestone caves which are located throughout this area. You will also be served a delicious local seafood lunch by the boat crew onboard. Following your four-hour journey through Ha Long Bay, you will be sailing back to the harbor, and travel back to Hanoi and to your hotel. Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.

Day 4

Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels: (B/L/-)

This morning, you will depart Hanoi for your two-hour flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon your arrival, you will be met and greeted by your guide and you will travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which consist of more than 200 km of underground tunnels. This tunnel system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included a large number of trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. The remaining tunnels have today become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a very unique experience and understanding of what underground life was like during the U.S.-Vietnam War also known as the American War. Your overnight stay will be in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5

Ho Chi Minh City Tour: (B/L/-)

You will begin your exploration of the major and bustling city of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), which is leading commercial center of Vietnam and the site of a growing number of upscale restaurants, shops and cafes. You will visit the Thien Hau Pagoda, Chinatown, the Reunification Palace, the Opera House and the Hotel de Ville. You will also have the opportunity to visit the very impacting War Remnants Museum. In Ho Chi Minh City, you will also explore the vibrant outdoor markets and Dong Khoi Street, which is the city's main shopping boulevard. Here you will find shops and merchants selling clothes and accessories created by new Vietnamese designers, high quality linens and house wares, and some hill tribe crafts from the countryside. You will enjoy another relaxing overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 6

Ho Chi Minh Departure: (B/-/-)

There are no activities planned for today. You are free to use and enjoy your free time souvenir shopping until transfer to the airport for your outbound flight. This will conclude our services.
